Boundary's Fall Update
|
|
Question: When is Forge of Faith going to be released?
Answer: Unfortunately, no release date has been set for Forge of Faith, Book IV of Boundary's Fall. Increased family and work related demands have cut into Mr. Funk's writing time. He is working on the book as much as he is able, and we hope to schedule a release for late 2008. Please check back periodically for status updates.
Question: Is there any way I can speed up the release?
Answer: The best help readers can provide is to spread the word about the Boundary's Fall series. Submit reviews here and to the various online bookstores, contact your local libraries and suggest that they stock copies, and encourage your friends to pick up their own copy of the series (autographed copies available for sale here). The more interest we have in our titles, the greater our ability to encourage authors to produce work faster.

The Boundary. The greatest feat of magic in the history of Madryn. An impenetrable barrier raised centuries ago to imprison the Darklord Lorthas and bring an end to the long and bloody MageWar.
But the Boundary has been breached, and the Darklord’s forces have resumed their assault. The Tachan Empire has risen from the ashes of its defeat and is poised to conquer much of Madryn, Corsan Raiders push farther onto Alrendria soil with every passing day, and the Black Fleet scourges the coast.
In Kaper, King Mathis of Alrendria fights to maintain the peace despite the constant political maneuvering and racial tensions threatening his hastily-assembled alliance. The Mage Assemblythe only force capable of countering Lorthas’ ShadowMagiremains uncommited to the fight, and flagging morale on the western front may force Mathis to send his own son, the charismatic Prince Martyn, out to restore the Guardsmen’s faith. But a danger far greater than Corsans lurks within dagger’s reach of the young prince.
Far to the north, in the icy fortress of Dranakohr, Jeran Odara fights a private war. Denied access to his magical Gift and enslaved by the Darklord, Jeran must decide which is more important: his duty to Alrendria or his obligation to the people he loves. |

Despite the relative obscurity of its contributors and it place on shelves filled with bestsellers and famous authors, Beacons of Tomorrow has seen strong sales. This collection features thirteen short stories from some of speculative fiction's most creative (and mostly unknown) talents. The tales within transport readers across time, to distant worlds, and into the realm of the fantastic. From aliens to angels, from horrific to humorous, Beacons of Tomorrow has something for every fan of speculative fiction.
Beacons of Tomorrow was conceived as a vehicle through which talented writers could get some exposure for their work. The included stories are winning entries from the 2004 Illuminations Speculative Fiction Writing Contest and submissions to The Illuminata, our ezine. All profits from this project will be used for future anthologies, so if you like to support new authors, please order a copy of Beacons of Tomorrow for your collection.
